Gut health supplements
Gut health supplements are a popular way to add to a gut-friendly lifestyle. Eating plenty of fibre from fruit, vegetables, wholegrains and pulses, drinking enough water and staying active all make a difference. The NHS recommends adults aim for 30g of fibre a day, and most of us eat less than that.

How should I take activated charcoal?
Take 1g at least 30 minutes before a meal and 1g shortly after. Activated charcoal can reduce the absorption of medicines, so take it at least 2 hours apart from any medication.
