Eye health supplements with vitamin A, zinc and riboflavin, which contribute to the maintenance of normal vision.
Eye health supplements
Eye health supplements are a popular choice for people who want to look after their eyes as part of their everyday routine. A balanced diet with plenty of colourful fruit and vegetables, breaks from screens and regular eye tests all help, and some nutrients play a specific part. Vitamin A, zinc and riboflavin (vitamin B2) contribute to the maintenance of normal vision.

Eye health FAQs
How often should I have an eye test?
The NHS recommends an eye test every 2 years for most adults, or more often if your optician advises it. Eye tests can pick up changes before you notice them.
What are lutein and zeaxanthin?
They’re natural plant pigments called carotenoids, found in leafy greens such as spinach and kale, and in egg yolks. They are naturally present in the eye.
When should I see someone urgently?
If you have sudden changes in your vision, eye pain or flashes and floaters, see an optician or GP straight away, or go to A&E.
