Immune support supplements with vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc and selenium, which contribute to the normal function of the immune system.
Immune support supplements
Immune support supplements are a popular choice, especially in autumn and winter. A balanced diet, good sleep, regular activity and managing stress all matter, and several nutrients have a specific role. Vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc and selenium all contribute to the normal function of the immune system, as do vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folate, iron and copper.

Immune support FAQs
Should I take vitamin D in winter?
The NHS advises everyone to consider a daily 10 microgram vitamin D supplement in autumn and winter, when there isn’t enough sunlight for the body to make what it needs.
How much vitamin C do I need?
The NHS says adults need 40mg of vitamin C a day, which most people can get from a varied diet. Taking more than 1,000mg a day can cause stomach upset.
